Sleepiful

The sun set, staining the sky, as it had done for so many centuries, with a rosy hue. It rose and set against a wasteland, shone it's light upon a dead world, yet still it crossed the sky each day.  There was one left alive who could have told it; and occasionally did tell it; that it's journey no longer served any purpose, but it didn't seem to hear her. She could only suppose that it continued to rise for her own benefit, though all she wanted was for it to never appear again, leaving her in eternal darkness.  Because that was where the others were: forever in the dark. The woman envied them; they would never know this kind of lonliness

Fright appears and fear attacks I run around the world and back I find a place I never saw Where what I knew is known no more I try to make my meaning clear Only to find that I'm not here

An everything made almost entirely of nothing based on principles that may exist sprung from somewhere out of time and space and here I stand made from nothing, based on mysteries but living and I'm so very tired. The wonder of creation Tiny specs of life that grew and changed that swam across the ocean, soared the skies and roamed the land became the first great ape to ever stand stepping forward to humanity. I am what this wonder has accomplished, sitting on the floor, so very tired.

The empty darkness of the night engulfs what once seemed corporeal. Unbound by duties of the day my tired soul begins to feel. Drugged by lust for sleep and dreams my mind beholds the truth at last, glimpses the hollowness yet to come and weeps with longing for the past. Shivering with grief and fear I mourn lifes lost simplicity and times when every future held great promise no despair for me. The world's a fearful place by dark, all filled with vast complexity, and so I lie awaiting light and superficiality.

There is too much beauty Not enough time Never any time To stop Look Think Feel Feel pain and fear Despair and horror Feel life. There is too much time Too much life Not enough beauty No more feeling Nothing Gone Eternity to kill No death No life No thought There is too much feeling Not enough thought No time Not for wisdom You follow your heart Your heart pulls you down Living Breathing Longing Knowing Falling
